For biotechnology and pharmaceutical equipment intended for use with either liquid or gaseous oxygen, we perform an oxygen cleaning process to remove contaminants.  Anything that promotes combustion or impacts product purity is a contaminant. 

We use various processes depending on the type of contaminants and the level of cleanliness required.  Mechanical, aqueous, semi-aqueous, acids and solvents are often used in some combination to meet specifications and achieve the desired results.

High Purity Finish

The surfaces of materials and equipment used in high purity and sanitary processes, should be smooth, corrosion resistant, impervious, free of cracks and crevices, non-absorbent, non-toxic and cleanable. 

Smooth surfaces are more easily and effectively cleaned with less opportunity for the growth of microbial contaminants.  Additionally, a smooth surface has a significantly lower, real area and therefore a lower rate of corrosion.

We achieve the appropriate surface properties using a combination of mechanical or chemical polishing, electropolishing and passivation.

Common industry applications of high purity gas and instrumentation for research and processing include pharmaceutical, medical devices and semiconductor manufacturing.
